With an unusually long box stop Fernando Alonso expenditure-braked its team colleague Lewis Hamilton and for the second pole position of the Formel-1-Saison drove. Because Alonso on the Hungaroring in Budapest blocked its McLaren Mercedespartner, Hamilton in the qualification could not counter any longer. By the unusual maneuver the Spaniard intensified the rivalry of the silver arrow pilots with the large price of Hungary.
